On Friday Netflix released Death Note, a movie based on  Japanese manga written by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata, and views are really having a field day. It has been called from disgusting ,  whitewashed, hasty, and rapid adaptation to "a good-enough".   Director Adam Wingard has robbed Death Note of its identity, messing up nearly everything that made the original series so compelling. Clio Chang, The New Repubic The plot revolves around young and smart Light Turner, who happens to be sitting outside when a worn out diary just drops down from the sky. It allows him to kill bad guys by writing their names and picturing their faces when he pens down the name.
